Amber Waves: Turn Intention Into Action
January 7, 2026 by Peconic Pictures.
Getting to work alongside a farm that sits at the intersection of food, education, and community has been one of the most meaningful parts of our year.
From the first shoots pushing through the soil to kitchens filled with curious kids and busy hands, Amber Waves is more than a farm—it’s a living classroom and a gathering place. Throughout the year, we had the chance to document the rhythms of the seasons, the quiet moments of early-morning harvests, and the joyful chaos of kids discovering where food really comes from.
What stood out most to us was the care behind everything Amber Waves does. Whether it was capturing farm apprentices learning the ropes, educators guiding kids through harvesting and cooking, or community programs working to feed neighbors near and far, every story pointed back to a shared commitment: growing food with intention and sharing knowledge generously.
This year also reminded us how powerful storytelling can be. Through videos, photos, and conversations, we watched Amber Waves connect people—to the land, to each other, and to the bigger picture of what a resilient local food system can look like. Being trusted to help tell those stories is something we don’t take lightly.
As we wrap up the year, we’re proud of what we created together and thankful for the openness, collaboration, and heart that Amber Waves brings to everything they do. We’re excited to keep growing alongside this community and to continue sharing the stories that make this place so special.
We’re grateful to Amber Waves Farm for the collaboration and trust, and we’re excited to continue telling these stories and building on the Farmcast in the year ahead.
